Traditionally confetti at weddings is reserved for showering the bride and groom as they head off from their ceremony (making for a perfect photo opportunity of course). However I’m a modern girl who likes to question convention and create her own unique traditions (you’ll hear more about these as time goes on). So here is a new confetti tradition for weddings…confetti filled RSVPS to help the bride and groom get into the wedding spirit.

The bride and groom spend a lot of time, energy and money crafting amazing looking wedding invitations. But when it comes time for the attendees to respond, we either send a text to the happy couple or an email…do people even post RSVPs anymore? Why not surprise the couple with an actual card or letter? We all know that planning a wedding can be stressful, so I say why not take the opportunity to bring a smile and laughter into the couples day by confetti bombing your RSVP (I highly suggest avoiding glitter bombing them…unless you want your invitation revoked).

This year my partner and I have been invited to celebrate the wedding of a couple that I met when I was studying at University. Knowing the couple, I knew that a confetti surprise would go down well with them. I crafted a card that had a whole heap of sparkly confetti glued to the front along with some other wedding inspired decorations. Then I packed that card full of hand made silver heart tissue paper confetti (the super floaty type).

I’m happy to report that the bride and groom to be loved their little confetti surprise…now to see if I can sneak some confetti into the actual wedding…
